Featured Product Concept · JL Network

The video is the campfire. The community is the product.

JL Network is a sports-first community media platform concept designed to connect athletes, coaches, teams, parents, alumni, students, and fans around the moments they already care about: games, highlights, training, analysis, and shared sports identity.

Instead of building another generic social feed or another isolated streaming player, JL Network brings community presence, athlete profiles, social viewing, team media, and performance analysis into one connected sports experience.

A digital sports community

Parents: stay connected to games, tailgates, family rooms, photos, reactions, and highlights even when an athlete is across the country.

Athletes: build a living sports profile with highlights, media, teams, development history, and shareable video.

Coaches: create communities, publish content, review clips, annotate video, and connect analysis to development.

Colleges & teams: extend the athletic community beyond the venue through branded communities, live-event presence, campus media, fan engagement, and sponsor opportunities.

Sports Communities

Profiles and private or public communities for athletes, coaches, teams, parents, alumni, students, and fans.

Social Viewing

Virtual tailgates, game check-ins, watch-party rooms, reactions, chat, and community presence around live and on-demand sports.

Athlete Media

Highlights, photos, team video, training clips, game film, and coach-to-athlete video analysis in one sports identity.

Smart Sports Guide

A sports-aware guide that connects community activity to authorized live streams, team-owned media, campus content, and subscription services.

Performance Analysis

Connect JL Vision concepts to clip review, slow motion, annotations, movement analysis, coaching notes, and athlete development workflows.

Campus & Venue Layer

A future enterprise layer for colleges, teams, venues, suites, digital signage, sponsor inventory, and managed community media experiences.

Current Prototype · Media & Infrastructure

Building the media engine before the full network.

The current hands-on prototype uses Jellyfin, Kodi, Windows services, reverse-proxy infrastructure, Live TV, EPG/XMLTV concepts, media-feed normalization, remote access, Trakt-powered discovery, and TV-first interface work to understand the real technical and user-experience problems behind community viewing.

Rights-aware architecture

The product can host owned/team-authorized media and community-generated content while deep-linking users to authorized third-party services for rights-controlled broadcasts.

Social layer around the stream

JL Network can own the identity, presence, chat, reactions, check-ins, tailgate, highlights, and analysis experience even when the video itself is delivered by an authorized external service.

Community before, during & after

The event lifecycle becomes pregame tailgate, live game room, postgame conversation, highlights, and analysis instead of a stream that disappears at the final whistle.

Why I Build This

I understand the sports community

I have worked with athletes, parents, coaches, schools, teams, professional players, and training communities for nearly three decades.

I connect the two

My value is translating real sports-community problems into product workflows, media experiences, technology requirements, and understandable solutions.

Professional Experience

A career built across sport and technology.

What I Bring

I can walk into the room with the athlete, the coach, the IT team, or the customer — and understand what each one needs.

That combination is the through-line of my career: make complex systems understandable, make technology useful, build trust with people, and turn real-world problems into practical experiences.
