Youth sports creates unique pressures that most therapists don't understand. I do — because I live it. I'm part of an athletic family, and I've seen firsthand how sports can bring families together or tear them apart.
As a licensed therapist in both Oregon and Washington, I specialize in helping young athletes, their parents, and their families navigate the mental and emotional challenges that come with competitive sports.
Currently serving as Clinical Director at a mental health hospital, I bring a depth of experience to my work with families. I've seen the full spectrum of mental health challenges, and I know how to help.
Performance anxiety, confidence issues, burnout, identity questions, team dynamics, injury recovery, and building mental resilience for competition.
Managing expectations, supporting without pressuring, dealing with coaches and politics, balancing sports with family life, and processing your own sports experiences.
Alignment on athletic goals, time and money decisions, communication about expectations, sibling dynamics, and keeping relationships strong through busy seasons.
Therapy isn't about someone telling you what to do. It's about having a safe space to work through challenges with someone who understands what you're facing.
I bring a practical, solution-focused approach. We'll identify what's actually causing problems and develop strategies that work in real life — not just in theory.
Taking the first step is the hardest part. I'm here to help your family navigate whatever you're facing.
