Athletic Performance Director
Over a decade of developing athletes ages 8-23. From youth beginners taking their first steps on the track to professional football players preparing for combines — I've seen what works and what doesn't.
My background is unique: computer engineer turned gym owner turned speed coach. I approach training like a technical problem — break it into components, measure everything, iterate based on data. But I never forget that athletes are humans, not machines.
The JL Speed Development Method came from years of trial and error. What actually makes someone faster? It's not random hard workouts. It's precise technical work, strategic loading, and patient development.
Started as a computer engineer. That background taught me to think systematically — to break complex problems into smaller pieces, measure outcomes, and iterate. I bring that same approach to coaching.
Owned and operated sports performance facilities. Learned the business side of training — and more importantly, learned what environments help athletes thrive.
Deep expertise in sprints and horizontal jumps. Long jump and triple jump are where technique meets power — the perfect intersection of science and athleticism.
Currently building training apps and AI tools. Combining my engineering background with coaching experience to create technology that actually helps athletes improve.
Over the years, I've worked with every type of athlete — different ages, sports, and goals. Every one taught me something.
